The Fung Yuen Butterfly Reserve is a cultural and environmental education centre under the Environmental Association. Mainly focusing on the promotion of butterfly ecology and conservation. Approximately 42 h.a. of land within the reserve has been designated as a "Site of Special Scientific Interest", as well as being fourth on the "List of Priority Sites for Enhanced Conservation" of Hong Kong.
